Lindy in the Park, Cherry Blossom Festival ParadeI spent the day in the City, today. I danced swing for an hour at Lindy in the Park, and then I spent a couple of hours at the Cherry Blossom Festival in Japantown, watching the closing parade and eating Japanese food. The parade featured floats from various local and visiting organizations, like the Boy Scouts and a traditional dance group from Tokyo. The two Taiko floats were the most exciting. Each float had 10 drummers, and they were all pounding away as hard as they could. They played a catchy rhythm.
